Challenge

As companies adopt hybrid and distributed working models, employees need reliable access to corporate communications from any location and device. Traditional business phone systems are often designed around physical office equipment, making it difficult for employees to answer work calls outside the office without additional applications, network configurations, or Virtual Private Network connections.

This fragmented setup creates unnecessary complexity. Employees cannot always manage calls in the most convenient way, while information technology teams have to maintain several disconnected tools and configurations. Every new device, operating system update, or infrastructure change can also introduce unexpected issues.

The challenge is particularly significant for mobile applications. Smartphones and tablets use different operating systems, receive updates at different times, and behave differently depending on the network, mobile carrier, and device model. An application that performs reliably on one device may encounter notification, connectivity, or interface issues on another.

Maintaining a consistent mobile experience across Android and iOS therefore requires continuous application support, systematic testing, and a reliable environment for identifying issues before new versions reach users.

Solution

That is where our part of the work comes in. We have been responsible for supporting the system’s mobile applications on both Android and iOS and for maintaining the testing infrastructure that keeps those applications reliable before they reach a user’s phone.

In practice, this has meant closely and continuously monitoring how the applications behave across devices and operating system versions, investigating and resolving issues reported by users and partners, and working with the development team to reproduce and fix bugs quickly. It has also meant keeping our test environment healthy and current, so new features and fixes can be verified thoroughly before every release rather than being discovered after the fact.

This combination of hands-on mobile support and solid test infrastructure has allowed the team to catch problems early, whether it is a call that does not connect properly, a notification that arrives late, or a small interface glitch on a newer phone model. Instead of firefighting after release, we have been able to validate changes with confidence beforehand.

Result

The result is a more stable and dependable mobile communication experience for employees. Calls connect correctly, notifications arrive when expected, and application updates are delivered more smoothly across Android and iOS devices.

A stable and up-to-date testing environment also supports faster and safer releases. New functionality and fixes can be validated before deployment, reducing the number of unexpected issues experienced by users.

This continuous work behind the scenes allows employees to open the application, answer a call, send a message, or join a conversation without having to think about the technical systems supporting each interaction.
