Challenge
A maritime and ship management provider operates an internal platform that supports daily processes related to seafarer information, vessel-related payments, candidate data, and approval workflows. The system brings together several operational modules for managing information and review processes, making reliable data handling and consistent user flows particularly important.
The front end includes complex payment and allotment review processes, filtering options, different levels of user access, and multiple screens for managing operational data. As the platform continues to evolve, some areas required improvements. Selected filters were not always preserved during navigation, certain screens displayed incomplete information, and several workflows required clearer handling of payment statuses and eligible records. Issues also affected vessel payment history, bank selection, candidate details, seafarer notes, and review and approval processes.
The existing front-end structure also required improvements to simplify application logic and make the system easier to manage and maintain.
Solution
Our engineers worked on the front-end development of the platform and improved payment and allotment review workflows, including approval processes, eligibility rules, payment statuses, and filtering behavior. We also updated nationality and salary currency filters, bank-related screens, vessel payment history, and the handling of pending and reverted payments.
The work covered candidate and seafarer interfaces as well. We updated candidate information and address forms, improved the handling of seafarer notes, and fixed cases where information was lost or displayed incorrectly after refresh or navigation.
Alongside these functional changes, we improved the internal structure of the front end. Our engineers simplified reusable interface logic, improved state handling, and updated data flows across several modules. We also improved filter persistence, reset behavior in review workflows, data separation between different views, and the presentation of relevant information for different user levels.
Result
The platform continues to support key processes within daily maritime operations, including payments, approvals, candidate information, and seafarer data management.
The work we delivered improves the consistency and maintainability of the front end across these areas. Payment reviews, filtering, approval flows, and data handling are more predictable, while several existing interface issues have been addressed. The improvements also make the system easier to maintain and provide a stronger foundation for further development of the internal platform.
