Challenge
When our longstanding customer sought assistance to develop a unique product for real time ad tracking for all local advertisers on the market, we were eager to help.
The challenge was to build a tool that combines capturing of the advertisers’ creative with their actual spending to see how much people are spending and which advertisements are airing.
Solution
Initially, our client, a media agency, wanted to monitor the airtime and capture political advertising.
We suggested creating an interface similar to Windows Movie Maker. First of all, this allowed to quickly view the air, find political advertising and mark its beginning and ending.
Our developers implemented the project using Java on the server side and HTML5 stack on the client side.
Since the created product had significantly exceeded the expectations, our client decided to monitor not only political advertising, but also other types of ads. This created a new complexity due to the large information flow.
Subsequently, we optimized the backend service to deal with big data volumes and enable a fast application response.
On top of that, as soon as any new advertising is detected, ad alerts are automatically sent out to the customers with links to the actual spot.
The product’s user interface looks perfect on various screen sizes – on desktops/laptops (Windows/OSX), tablets (iOS/Android/Windows), and mobile (iOS/Android) devices.
